Window Tinting UK Warranty
Professional window film should be installed carefully, looked after correctly and supported by clear written terms. This page explains the aftercare principles that apply to our film installations and how to contact us if you need help.
Your quotation, invoice or installation paperwork confirms the warranty that applies to your specific product and service. Automotive, residential and commercial films can have different warranty periods and conditions, so the written terms for your installation take priority.
Support for genuine product or installation failure
Subject to the written terms supplied with your installation, warranty support may apply where the film develops an adhesive or product-related failure such as peeling, delamination, cracking, an unusual colour change or another defect attributable to the film or the installation.
We will normally need to inspect the affected glass or vehicle before deciding the appropriate remedy. Where a covered defect is confirmed, the remedy may involve repair or replacement of the affected film, subject to the applicable terms, product availability and the condition of the underlying glass.
Warranty period: Do not rely on a general period shown on another company website. The period for your Window Tinting UK installation is the period stated in your own quote, invoice, warranty document or installer confirmation.
What to expect after installation
Allow the film to cure
Small water bubbles, haze or a slightly uneven appearance can be part of the normal curing process after a water-based installation. Drying time varies with film, glass, temperature and weather.
Keep car windows up
For automotive tint, keep the treated windows closed for at least seven days unless your installer gives different written guidance. Operating them too early can disturb the film edges while the adhesive is bonding.
Clean gently
Once the installer confirms cleaning is appropriate, use clean soapy water and a good-quality soft microfibre cloth. Avoid abrasive pads, blades, harsh chemicals and anything that can catch an edge.
Not every visible mark is a warranty defect
During curing, moisture can appear as bubbles or haze before it clears. Small dust particles or minor visual characteristics may also be visible on close inspection in an aftermarket film installation. Existing scratches, chips, marks or imperfections in the glass can become more noticeable once film has been applied.
Some vehicle windows also have a raised dot-matrix frit around the edge. Film may look different in this area while it settles because the surface is not completely flat.
These points do not prevent you from contacting us. If something concerns you, send photographs and allow the appropriate curing time unless the issue is urgent or the film is lifting, damaged or unsafe.
We aim to assess concerns fairly against the agreed installation scope, the product terms and the condition of the glass before installation.
Cases that may not be covered
Accidental damage
Glass breakage, impact damage, vandalism, scratches caused after installation or damage from objects and tools are normally outside film warranty cover.
Incorrect care
Harsh cleaning chemicals, abrasive cleaning, sharp objects, misuse, abuse or operating newly tinted car windows too soon can affect cover.
Underlying glazing
Pre-existing glass defects, unsuitable glazing, later glass replacement or changes made by another installer may affect whether a film warranty applies.
Important: This page is general guidance, not a replacement for the written terms supplied for your project. If your paperwork differs, please contact us so we can clarify the position.
How to raise a warranty query
Contact us as soon as you notice a possible issue. Include your name, vehicle or property details, approximate installation date, the affected window or area, a description of the problem and clear photographs where possible.
Do not attempt to peel, cut, repair or clean a lifting film before we have had the opportunity to assess it.
