Frequently asked questions

Residential film questions

Will window film make my home dark?

Not necessarily. Modern films are available in a range of appearances, including lighter options designed to retain natural light.

Can film be fitted to double glazing?

Often yes, but film compatibility depends on the glass specification. We assess this before recommending a product.

Does privacy film work at night?

Reflective daytime privacy depends on the lighting balance. Frosted or opaque films provide a more consistent privacy solution.

Can residential film be removed?

Yes. Professionally installed film can normally be removed from sound glass when requirements change.

Comfort and privacy for holiday living

Film can improve the appearance of caravan and lodge glazing, reduce glare across living spaces and help keep furnishings looking fresher. Frosted or privacy film can also suit doors, bathrooms and glass balustrades.

Glazing compatibility matters. Caravan and motorhome windows vary, and some use acrylic or double acrylic glazing rather than standard architectural glass. We assess the glazing first and choose a compatible film and installation system.

Reflective privacy is influenced by the film and by lighting on each side of the window. It can improve daytime privacy, but no film should be presented as guaranteed one-way privacy at night.
